Something for Jazzy

31 Jul

It’s always hard to find the perfect gift for a first birthday. I looked everywhere for something fitting for my niece’s birthday, then my mom reminded me that I can draw (lol). I whipped this up last night. It took me about 5 hours to complete and I am really excited to share it with you.

Jasmine

Isn’t she beautiful?

This portrait measures 8″ x 10″ and is done with pencil on illustration board.

I knew I created the perfect gift when I saw that it brought tears to my brother and my sis-in-law’s eyes.

Hello world!

15 Apr

My name is Kelly and I have been wanting to join the blogosphere for quite some time and haven’t really been able to figure out what my angle would be, how do I be relevant?

Actually it’s easy! I am an artist, I am one of those people who is constantly creating and people ask, “How did you do that?” So what better way to share my ideas, thoughts and life than by sharing what I create. I am one of those people who looks at something and says, “Oh I could make that!” and most of the time I do. Everything from our dining room table to my custom bedroom closet (I love power tools!), from huge abstract paintings to finely detailed portraits. You name it and I probably have a way to make it!

Currently I am planning the world’s greatest destination wedding… my own! So many of my projects will have a focus on wedding creations. As a do-it-yourselfer I have lots to share and many tips and tricks I have learned along the way. First up will be the invitations, stay tuned!
